But don’t get it twisted — this was about saving down-ballot Dems, not helping Republicans. Because Bernie had no shot.

Fortunately it didn’t come to that because the Democratic primary electorate soundly rejected Bernie and demonstrated what most of us already knew — we were only humoring him and his vanity campaign this whole time. No one took him seriously and history will remember him for the joke he’s always been.
