This article is hilarious.

You're actually arguing the Electoral College doesn't hold 3rd parties back, the problem is the two-party system.

Completely oblivious to the fact that the EC is WHY we have a two-party system.

It's not "lack of media attention, poor political participation, and the Federal Election Committee."

The problem is the EC is "first past the post" - making it mathematically impossible for a 3rd party to win. They can only play spoiler.

No third party has ever come close to winning a state. Not Evan McMullin. Not Ross Perot, who was well-funded and leading a movement that was far more significant that Bernie's.

And you didn’t explain why Members of Congress would vote for the 3rd party candidate over their own party’s nominee if it came to that. Because you can’t explain it. Because that would never, ever happen.

And that's the reason 3rd party candidates don't get "media attention" or "political participation" and generally aren't taken seriously.

It's simple math.
